Empirical analysis and general analysis, these two promises are contradictory to objective principle .This contradictory makes many problems in sociology and hinders its development .We can' t give up empirical analysis and general analysis because they are essential characteristics in sociology .But for objective principle we can change it .As a former sociologist' s theory selection , it is based on social central tasks, social principal contradiction , class limitation and social value in 19th century .When human society has stepped into the later 20th century , many profound changes have taken place in social central tasks, social principal contradiction , class relation and human relation in social life. So it is necessary to adjust theory principle to make sociology adapt to new situation and develop itself .And there is practical base in the change .Post-modern sociology has done a lot of work but there are many important problems needing to be studied step by step .
