Dynamics of Social Policy Development: Theoretical advances since the 1960s 

社会政策与福利国家的起源、发展领域已形成既彼此互补、又相互竞争的理论视角,但中国社会政策学界的相关讨论较少。本文将批判性地检视自20世纪60年代至今的主要理论视角,对各视角所处的学术背景、回答的核心问题、揭示的机制、对应的解释力和缺陷,以及视角之间的竞争和更替进行分析,以期激发更多讨论,从而为中国社会政策之发展提供知识支持。

Several complementary and competing theoretical approaches have been developed on the origin and development of social policy ( or welfare state)，but these theories are less discussed in Chinese literature. This article reviews six major approaches developed since the 1960s，including industrialism，neo-Marxism，power resource theory，state-centered approach，gender perspective and employer-centered approach. The backgrounds，core questions，mechanisms and explanatory power are analyzed respectively. Through this systematic review，the author tries to achieve a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of social policy development. Hopefully this will invoke more discussion and provide knowledge support to social policy development in China.
