Towards a More Mature Sociology: A review of empirical studies in the Sociological Studies

本文以《社会学研究》创刊三十年以来所发表的论文为基础，对我国社会学经验研究的发展进行了系统分析。分析结果显示，经验研究逐渐成为社会学研究中的主流形式，并具有研究方法多元化、研究形式规范化、作者队伍专业化的趋势。接着作者进一步梳理了“组织与治理”、“分层与流动”、“家庭与生活”三大研究领域的相关成果，指出这些研究始终贯穿着现代化理论与“国家—社会”理论两大理论线索，以及“制度/结构”与“行动/过程”两种分析框架。最后，基于上述分析，本文讨论了目前社会学经验研究存在的一些问题，突出表现为研究内容的内卷化以及研究理论的碎片化。

Based on papers published in the Sociological Studies, this article analyses the development of Chinese sociological empirical studies. The results reveal that empirical study has become the mainstream of sociological studies and shows a trend of diversification, standardization and professionalization. Furthermore, the authors review empirical studies in three research fields, including “organization and governance”, “stratification and mobility”, and “family and life”. In sum, these empirical studies focus on the modernization theory and the “state-society” theory, and use two major analytical frameworks, i.e., the “system/structure” framework and the “action/process” framework. Finally, this paper discusses some problems existed in the current empirical studies, especially the involution of questions and the fragmentation of theories.
