| 英文摘要： | The author in this paper offers critical analysis and comments of Anthony Giddens' s The Consequences of Modernity and The Third Way , both were translated into Chinese and recently published in China .While Giddens' s books, including the Constitution of Society and Nation-State and Violence , are becoming influential amongst Chinese academics and readers, there are few review s on his w ritings .In this paper , the author ,who has been involved in the translation and publicatio n of Giddens' s books in China , locates the current theoretical debates o n Modernity and the Third Way in the post Cold-War contexts, and arg ues there are possibilities and alternatives for us to analyze today' s global trends and to think of the future. |
