Academic Analysis about Professor Lu Xueyi's Proposition on the Inconsonance between Social and Economic Development

This article is a preliminary discussion of the theoretical foundation of Professor Lu Xueyi’s proposition on the inconsonance between social and economic developments. The systemic function theory and social equilibrium theory are two prevailing analytical approaches in current social sciences, while Professor Lu Xueyi's theory goes beyond either of them. This paper analyzes the six connotations in Lu's research which elaborate on the inconsonance between social and economic development, and explores its potential developments and inherent issues in the academic field.
