The Trends of Post-professionalization of Western Social Work and Its Implications to China's Social Work

20世纪60年代以来,西方社会工作开始反思批判专业化过程导致的权力关系和专业效果问题。这个反思批判力量促使社会工作沿着去专业权威、去科技理性、去病态治疗、去学科规训4个维度发展出不同的实务模式。20世纪90年代社会工作进入后专业化时代。后专业化时代的西方社会工作虽然依然纠缠于实证主义与反思实践理论乃至后现代主义范式之间,但却打破了专业主义与管理主义的冲突,走向了多元竞争的繁荣发展态势。这对当前中国社会工作专业化模式不无借鉴意义。

From the 1960's, western social work began to reflect on the power relations and professional effectiveness of itself as the result of professionalization of social work. This reflection promoted western social work to develop plural practice models along the way of de-authority of profession, de-technical nationality, de-pathological treatment, de-discipline of subject. Western social work has entered into the era of post- professionalization after the 1990s. Even though it is pulled amongst positivism, reflective praxis and post-modernism, it has broken through the conflict of professionalism and manageralism in the era of post-professionalism, and presents plural and rival development trend. This development trend would have implications to the process of professionalization of China's social work.
